As hard as we may try to avoid the heaviness, sadness or anger that comes with losing something or someone of value, it catches up to us. We begin to dream these stories, we engage in behaviors that seem foreign to us, and, as hard as we may try, we lose ourselves and the small hope we may have had.

To begin to grieve is to create space to remember and to “sit with” the pain, discomfort and unpredictability that encompassess such loss.
